Job Description

The Juice Truck is hiring it’s next juice boss!Looking for someone who is energetic, hard working and passionate about Juice! The ideal candidate should have an interest in health, nutrition, fitness and community. Confident with giving customer service that goes above and beyond, comfortable leading a team of juice tenders, cool to get their hands dirty (or in this case juicy) making juices and smoothies to order and enjoy the rush of a busy environment.Location hiring: YaletownDesired experience: Leadership in restaurant, cafe, barista or other food service experience (either FOH or BOH), Customer Service, Food Safe Certificate, Ability to lift up to 40 lbs boxesALSO...Must be available 5 days/week (40 hours) including weekends. Wage: To be determined based on candidate. Flexible schedule, positive and supportive environment, lots of opportunity for growth!Bonus qualities: Handy person skills (known to fix a thing or two around the house)Social media savvy (Able to line up the perfect Instagram shot)What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing procedure, keeping an eye on system improvements, duties and efficiencies. Making sure each team is successfully executing all expectations to company standards.
  • Lead the logistics and operations of the store and delegate effectively when not on site.
  • Manage the staff and ensure consistency, quality and customer service through coaching and the lense of employee improvement and growth.
  • Be the point of contact for the management team on any problems.
  • Have a solutions first approach to problem solving.
  • Maintain a happy staff : )
  • Leading by example with customer service. Ensuring the customers always feel like they are heard and any issues are resolved with a customer first mentality.
  • Assign the appropriate leaders at each store (FT, AGM, weekend managers)
  • Communicate with your store leaders on inventory ordering updates, staffing, problems, successes, ideas etc. chat daily.
  • For staffing - being aware of the working environment, keeping a positive/fun atmosphere that encourages hard work.
  • Coach your team leaders to achieve high standards in leadership
  • Creation of weekly schedule for each store. This includes, being the point of contact and managing time off requests, shift changes and coverages. Forecasting seasonal changes in staffing needs. Forecasting when we will need to hire more staff.
  • Actively adjusting the schedule based on season changes and weather, cutting staff when needed.
  • Working to avoid yourself needing to work OT by sustaining a healthy staffing level between the stores.
  • Working with management to oversee staffing costs
  • Provide reviews for storefront staff.
  • Enforcing slow time duties
  • Knowing the menu - quality control
  • Know the coastal health rules - achieve high scores on the monthly audit
  • Actively engage and grow community (choosing times to promo drinks for regulars, drop off drinks at local storefronts as random acts of kindness, etc.)
  • Being able to have a 1 day turn around on emails
  • Ownership of maintenance, customer complaints, etc.
  • Being committed to your own self development, through podcasts, books, audiobooks, courses, etc.
