Overview:WildBrain is looking for Storyboard Revisionis to join our exciting new animated Sonic the Hedgehog series, Sonic Prime, set to premiere worldwide in 2022.This 24-episode animated adventure for kids, families, and long-time fans draws upon the keystones of the brand and features the “Blue Blur” of video game fame in a high-octane adventure where the fate of a strange new multiverse rests in his gloved hands. Sonic’s adventure is about more than a race to save the universe, it’s a journey of self-discovery and redemption.This feature quality episodic series will deliver the visually captivating, binge-worthy story that Sonic fans new and old are sure to love. We are on the hunt to find passionate and talented folks to join this team and help us really bring the blue blur to life!In this role, you'll work from the Directors' notes to enhance storytelling and fix problematic sequences in a board. Aside from first-rate drawing skills, you'll need speed, the ability to take and interpret direction, and a knack for adding great poses and expressions to punch up specific scenes. You'll be improving your craft through hands-on experience with our accomplished team of Board Artists and Directors, learning their tricks of the trade.We are currently working virtually because of the Covid-19 pandemic. During this time our hiring teams are ready to support interviews via video conferencing, and we are enabling artists to work from home until the studio can reopen. We’d love to hear from you! #stayhomestaysafe!Responsibilities:Discussing and implementing necessary changes to boardsFollowing direction given in notes and discussions to revise boards to production expectationsMaintaining awareness of the series/show’s continuity, and ensuring the style and quality of the production is consistently met in board workCommunicating progress or issues with Board Artists and Supervisors, to ensure all deadlines are metAssisting with and completing production-related assignmentsKeeping current on storyboarding techniques and technologyQualifications:You have previous experience as a Storyboard Artist or Revisionist for an animated seriesYou possess a strong understanding of filmic storytelling principles and techniquesYou have a Degree/Diploma from a recognized animation schoolYou are known for both your drawing skills and your sense of humour!Ability to work digitally (Cintiq with Sketchbook, Photoshop or Flash, etc.)Ability to organize and manage time effectively to meet deadlinesAbility to communicate in a professional and positive mannerStrong drawing skills and sense of design, character and compositionStrong sense of acting and timingCreative problem solving skillsWhy WildBrainAt WildBrain Studios our teams dig into a diverse range of projects – from preschool and comedy to action-adventure, and work with international partners such as Apple, Netflix, LEGO, DreamWorks, BBC, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and more.
