Our shop boasts a stunning room featuring classic chocolates, macarons, cakes and pastries; all items are hand-made daily using only premium ingredients. Barista-crafted espresso and liquid chocolate beverages are also a central part of the cafe, complimented by a selection of sandwiches, soups, and savoury offerings. We are also licensed and offer a selection of wine and spirits to complement our wide array of products.Job Summary:The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations to ensure the floor runs at full efficiency and that customers receive the highest level of service excellence. The Supervisor will also support in inventory, ordering, and administrative duties. This supervisory position is a great role for those looking to launch their career in the hospitality industry and there are growth and training opportunities available for those who excel in the role.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Other duties may be assigned as required)

  • Actively engage with guests, cultivating relationships, and guest satisfaction
  • Support in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new front-of-house staff
  • Responsible for weekly and monthly inventory counts and inputting counts into reporting system
  • Help to manage PARS levels for inventory products to ensure no over/under ordering
  • Proactively place orders each week and project upcoming inventory needs
  • Open/close store when scheduled
  • Manage staff and effectively and efficiently run daily shifts to ensure labour targets are met
  • Organize daily cake order forms and work with kitchen to manage ordering needs
  • Respond to all incoming inquiries and provide extensive product knowledge to all customers
  • Troubleshoot any maintenance or technological issues throughout your shift
  • Oversee daily staff tasks/duties to ensure completed to full satisfaction
  • Provide coaching daily to help each employee build on their hospitality skills
  • Manage in-store customer complaints and resolve negative situations to guarantee customers leave with a positive Thierry experience
Required Experience & Qualifications:
  • At least one year of experience as a supervisor or shift leader in the hotel or restaurant industry
  • Related post-secondary education such as Business or Hospitality Management
  • Experience with inventory is an asset
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Serving It Right Certification
  • A multi-tasker with an eye for detail
  • Organized and able to work under pressure in a very busy environment
  • Professionalism and a genuinely warm inviting personality
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with early morning, weekend, and holiday shifts
