About Abacus Brands: Abacus Brands is a children’s book and toy company that specializes in educational toys for kids. We have won numerous awards and achievements, and looking for a supply chain, QC and production Manager to join our team!If you are passionate about product development, children, toys, and education, then you have come to the right place! While you truly excel at production and supply chain, you also understand logistics and how factories operate. It is critically important that you also have a keen attention to detail and enjoy a fast and dynamic workflow. You’ll be an integral part of our product development process, so being excited about what we do and the products we offer is necessary.The perfect person for this role, is someone that can care about the creative aspect of what were trying to create, and then help put the pieces together. You should understand details. You should have logic and common sense to know what things cost. You should understand paper weights (example: 300g or e-Flute, corrugate or gray board, gloss vs matte, UV coat vs gold foil, etc.) These details are a critical part of your contribution to the product that ends up in the hands of a child. Our quality control will be in your hands.Duties & Responsibilities of the Sourcing and Purchasing Role: This role is ideal for a resourceful individual with a discerning eye for quality and value on goods. You’ll actively be sourcing components, scheduling container shipments, and managing quality control and logistics for cutting edge STEM tech products for kids.

  • Components sourcing and buying
  • Manage production and manufacturing schedules with factory
  • Coordinate testing and QC reports with 3rd party labs and customers
  • Coordinate labels and carton markings to achieve customer needs
  • Box materials and paper buying (working with our printer and packing factory)
  • Scheduling container pickups, shipments, and delivery
  • Light logistics such as inter-factory transfers of packaging, components and goods
  • Light accounting such and issuing purchase orders and receiving invoices
  • Light inventory management
  • Assistance with project management for each new product or series launch
*Experience & Requirements of the Supply Chain and Production Role: While experience and qualifications are important to us, so are core values and passion for the product and company.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in any or all of the following: purchasing, sourcing, logistics, supply chain, product development, quality control, accounting
  • Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills
  • Fluent in English & Mandarin
  • Positive, upbeat attitude, with a shared passion for children’s tech products

Job Type: Full-timePay: $62,500.00-$78,850.00 per yearAdditional pay:
