Get your career racing with Hastings Racecourse today and find out why we’re “Bred for Excitement” since 1889.Hastings Racecourse & Casino is seeking a qualified individual interested in furthering their career as a Surveillance Operator.Department Summary:Under the general direction of the Surveillance Manager, this position is responsible for the overall management and effectiveness of surveillance operations.Position Summary:In this role, you will be responsible for the monitoring of all areas of the casino property and documentation. This individual will ensure the safety of our guests, team members and company assets by maintaining continuous surveillance of the entire property. Applicants must be available to work a flexible schedule including a variety of shifts which may include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and graveyards.Key Responsibilities/Duties:

• Answering internal and external telephone calls
• Informing or re-directing calls accordingly
• Monitoring, documenting and reporting violations regarding large cash/cash equivalent transactions, excluded and self-excluded guests and unauthorized access
• Maintaining logs; preparing daily reports; storing records securely for evidence purposes
• Monitoring, documenting and reporting on the condition of surveillance facilities and equipment
• Communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
• Building strong working relationships with guests and team members
• Complying with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
• Performing other duties as required

Education and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to focus on monitors for long periods of time
• Fluency in other languages an asset
• Possess a high level of honesty and integrity; adherence to high standards, methods and procedures
• Gaming knowledge & surveillance experience as well as background experience in Criminology an asset
• Computer literacy in MS Office
