Join us if you want to be the best version of yourself and make a difference in healthcare.Job DescriptionAs a System Administrator you will effectively deploy Intelerads PACS systems and maintain the deployment procedures to enable clients to have the tools that will make a difference in their day to day operations. This is a position to work as part of a team to deploy complex applications remotely on Linux servers and Windows servers. These applications are used by hospitals and radiology clinics to schedule patients, perform billing, archive digital images and provide the user community with access to this data across a WAN. Specifically, this position entails configuration, deployment, upgrades, maintenance and analysis of our PACS (picture archiving and communication system) software and worklist software. Your strong Linux administration skills will be important to all of these tasks.This position regularly requires working on weekends or outside of regular office hours to minimize operational disruptions to our clients . After your initial training period, your schedule will be flexible outside of core business hours.Major Responsibilities:Software deployment and maintenanceLearn the PACS deployment processes and procedures.Install and upgrade clients’ PACS systems in a reliable, timely, and non-disruptive manner. This entails that you:Follow the deployment and maintenance documented processes and procedures.Follow post-deployment testing proceduresHand-off a tested and functional PACS after deployment to other professional services teams and SupportSet up test environments as requiredRespect the clients’ accepted pre-scheduled deployment timelinesWork on weekends, holidays or after-hours when neededAssist in maintaining Deployment and Testing processes and associated procedures:Document and Implement new tests, and improve existing test proceduresFollow and help develop and maintain any future and current deployment documentsSuggest improvements to the deployment process and participate in implementing themPerform 3rd level support in the areas of configuration changes and disaster recoveryAssist in training new staff in matters of PACS deploymentQualificationsThree (3) years of professional work experience in Unix/Linux administrationA university degree, DEC, or equivalent in a computer related fieldStrong Linux (RHEL, CentOS) system and network administrationShell and python scripting experienceSQL and database experienceExperience with Windows Server (configuration of users, network shares, services, msSQL) is a significant assetDesired:Highly motivated and Team OrientedExcellent communication skills in English (verbal and written);Fast learner and attention to detailStrong problem solving skillsEnjoys flexible working hoursSQL and database experienceClustering, an assetVersion tracking tools (RCS, Mercurial), an assetMS SQL Administration, an assetAdditional InformationAll applicants meeting minimum qualifications will be required to complete a 30 minutes online assessment as part of your candidate applicationQuick Apply
