Job Description

Our client, a Schedule A Canadian Bank, has excellent career opportunities for T24 Administrators. The bank has three strategic objectives: build a stronger foundation, invest in profitable growth, and improve performance. They are customer centric, with proximity, simplicity, and honesty as their three main values.The incumbent will be on the largest T24 team in Canada in an important support role. The client is willing to train interested candidates on the T24 platform if they have AIX skills, Shell Scripting and bring a great attitude and approach to work. There is rotating shift work in this position. An especially important role, as they are going through a complete modernization of their technology. This position is remote in Canada, but you must reside in Canada and be a Permanent Resident, Citizen or an open work permit with at least an 18-month runway. Sorry, no LMIA.Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks in support to application management, incident management and deployment management
  • Task Based administration of T24 and related server operations as required (COB running, monitoring, backup, restore, application restart and runbook related tasks)
  • Provide first point of contact for escalation from Level 1 Support requests through the Banks ticket management system
  • Provide support on actions on tasks that can be resolved within expected time frame. Tasks that are more complex and take longer will be escalated to Application Support Analyst
  • Support 24/7 production and non-production systems, working off standard hours as part of the team to provide daily weekday coverage and 24 hours on call availability
  • May be required to perform operations during critical demand periods, emergency situations, or scheduled maintenance windows
  • Provide for a smooth shift change by adequately transitioning all activities to the next shift
  • Operator and securing other areas of the facility when appropriate
  • Performs other related duties as required
Qualifications
  • University degree and 2 to 4 years of related work experience in a mainframe or mid-range computer environment OR College Diploma and 3 to 6 years of related work experience in a mainframe or mid-range computer environment
  • Knowledge in specific computer operations environment is required
  • Experience in IT services and knowledge of AIX / Unix / Oracle software and other applications
  • Experience with ticketing systems (i.e. Serena / Jira / Service Now)
  • Ability to organize and prioritize jobs to be processed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Experience with Temenos T24 is highly desired
  • Bilingual (English / French) communication skills are an asset
