The role of Talent Acquisition Specialist will work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to significantly impact the performance of the department. You understand a company’s greatest asset are the people who make up the team and you’re interested in building a robust database and recruiting top talent.Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition, this position will be responsible for executing recruitment search mandates for all divisions and functions within the organization. This Talent Acquisition Specialist will be organized, entrepreneurial, and creative with the ability to utilize a variety of recruitment approaches. This hands-on position will be entrusted with an ongoing quest to identify top talent, build a strong employer brand, and ensure a great experience for both the candidate and internal hiring manager. You will find creative and unconventional ways to research and identify qualified candidates across various channels and enjoy the hunt in discovering elusive talent. You will partner with the Talent Acquisition team and Hiring Managers forging dynamic relationships across business units to generate talent insights and identify opportunities to improve our organization.This role is accountable for the identification, pre-screening, role alignment and tracking of high calibre candidates, utilising the full spectrum of sourcing and research methodologies including proactive outreach to candidates. This position requires a true passion for delivering the best recruitment journey.What youll be doing:

  • Identify, build, and maintain a network of candidates in Canada and the US through a variety of sourcing methods such as headhunting and on-going relationship management, utilizing social media, community partnerships and internal employee referral programs.
  • Conduct full cycle recruitment to acquire talent for various function across all brands within the organization.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers, executive leaders, and human resources business partners to determine desired candidate criteria.
  • Optimize research and recruitment tools including reports, tracking and candidate analysis.
  • Evaluate recruitment and selection criteria to ensure conformance to professional standards and best practices; recommending revision as needed.
  • Manage the existing pipelines of viable candidates for new and future job opportunities.
  • Assist in developing job ads and social media posts to attract active job seekers.
  • Help organize hiring events and participate in open houses, job fairs and college career fairs to network with potential candidates.
  • Ensure the highest quality candidate experience while coordinating and scheduling phone, onsite, web-based interviews, and candidate travel.
  • Maintain all recruitment related scorecard/KPIs and report out on a weekly basis.
  • Assist in various ad-hoc HR projects.
The Role is For You if:
  • You have at least 2 years of recruitment experience, preferably in both agency and corporate setting
  • You have recruited for sales and IT professionals
  • You have managed Campus recruitment or interested in learning more
  • You have experience with ATS and utilize resources effectively
  • You are familiar sourcing passive candidates and building pipeline for hard to fill search mandates
  • You are analytical and solution driven
  • You thrive in an entrepreneurial, pivoting environment
  • You excel in relationship building with candidates and hiring managers
  • You are confident, disciplined, assertive and persuasive
  • You have strong organizational skills
  • You are a team player and enjoy taking initiatives
  • You are strong communicator and work with a high sense of urgency
  • You welcome challenges but also know how to have fun
