We are looking for a triple threat with strong technical experience in Software development, agile project management, and product ownership.In this role you will be responsible for liaising with our clients to identify product requirements, estimate level of effort, build delivery timelines, manage risks, and lead a team of developers in breaking down the work into user stories and sprint planning. This role will require close collaboration with the Product Manager and Solutions Architect to ensure new client requests align with overall product vision and capabilities.To be successful in this role, you must possess both a high level of technical expertise and the capabilities required for all project managers, including the ability to quickly understand client specific applications, excellent organization, leadership, and communication skills, as well as demonstrated experience working in Agile environments as a Scrum Master and Product Owner. Most importantly you must be willing to work hard, share ideas, be curious, and be able to adapt quickly to the ever changing needs of a start-up.Essential job functions:

  • Effectively plan, prioritize, manage and execute project deadlines and deliverables for client facing projects of varying sizes.
  • Define project and product requirements with clients, internal stakeholders and development team. Work closely with Penny’s Solutions Team to ensure solutions fit product vision while meeting client’s needs. Be comfortable communicating with stakeholders throughout the client’s organization (e.g. Product, Engineering, QA, and Marketing teams.)
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports.
  • Develop sprint plans and align resource capacity to ensure successful project outcomes. Lead team agile ceremonies.
  • Manage project communications and presentations to clients.
  • Identify and manage any risks within the project.
  • Ensure timely communication on project issues and develop alternative plans to address the issues within project scope.
  • Make sure that clients’ needs are met as projects evolve. Work closely with account management to identify, document, and submit changes to scope for client approval
  • Plan, execute, and monitor project progress in Jira and Confluence.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of our project and development processes
  • Act as Scrum Master and Product Owner to support and lead a matrix team of developers and QA to deliver high quality products within contracted timeframes and product content expectations, pivoting when necessary, while maintaining high levels of engagement and enthusiasm
RequirementsWe’d love to hear from you if you have…
  • 5+ years of proven work experience as a Technical Project Manager or similar role
  • Beneficial if you have experience working as a software engineer in a SAAS product line
  • Hands-on experience with project management and documentation tools (specifically Jira and Confluence)
  • BSc in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
  • CAPM/ PMP / PRINCE2 certification is a plus
