Job Description

Why this role is made for you:Our new UI/UX Artist has high levels of usability expertise in the social and mobile games field, and will apply those best practices to LBC’s line of games. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, passionate, creative, and willing to take design risks to make the most compelling user experience for our players, all while serving the business/marketing/community needs of the title. The successful candidate needs to be flexible, able to work on tasks ranging from creating screenflow mockups and designing UI aesthetics to generating templates for community posts and marketing art, as well as developing high quality game art for our mobile games. They also need to be an energetic, positive culture add to an already open and empowering team.This is a full-time, remote position.A UI/UX Artists impact:

  • Create 2D art assets, including user interfaces, icons and in-game items
  • Be familiar with our games UI/UX, and work with the Art Lead to identify areas of improvement
  • Create wireframes and click-throughs using software such as Adobe XD to support Game Designers visions
  • Plan and execute on work using Agile development practices
  • Work with the team to identify and solve problems, both technically and artistically
  • Demonstrate a broad range of technical and creative abilities to effectively deliver the overall look, attitude and style of the UI in our games
  • Actively participate in team/department meetings
Your track record includes:
  • 3+ years of professional experience in a related entertainment industry with a minimum of 2 years of experience in games
  • Fluent in Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Able to design consistent and engaging user experiences
  • A strong understanding of usability principles and practices
  • 2D art skills with understanding of layout, balance, colour and iconography
  • Able to anticipate complications early and suggest solutions while maintaining a strong visual result
  • Ability to produce high quality, accessible and fresh designs
  • Ability to give and receive constructive criticism and change work or hold your ground accordingly
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Unity experience for UI implementation would be a big plus
