Ledcor Employee Apply internally in Workday.DescriptionJob Summary:We are seeking experienced Utility Construction Labourers for a project in Kitimat. You have previously worked alongside crews in underground utility or heavy civil construction. You are a team player who is willing to lend a hand whenever assistance is required to get the job done. You make Safety a top priority and ensure that each work site is a safe, clean space.Apply now and join the Ledcor team in Kitimat BC today!Responsibilities:

  • Perform tasks on the labour crew to support everyday operations
  • Provide general clean up and ongoing monitoring and maintenance of work area
  • Conduct groundwork including shoveling, raking, packing, moving sandbags etc.
  • Act as a spotter for equipment operators
  • Work collaboratively with all team members
  • Ensures that work is completed within deadlines
  • Communicate work progress and safety performance to the site supervision
  • Must be flexible with duties to support project requirements
Requirements:
  • Must have a minimum of 2-3 years civil construction experience
  • Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks as needed and stand for extended periods of time
  • Experience operating light equipment is an asset
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol
  • CSTS, First Aid and Ground Disturbance, Confined Space, Fall Arrest,
  • Basic Rigging certification an asset
  • Ability to work with little supervision, while adding to a safe and positive team environment is a must
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work outdoors in occasional extreme weather conditions
Work Conditions:
  • Experienced applicants that reside in Kitimat, BC or surrounding areas will be given preference due to the location of this project
  • 14 days on / 7 days off rotational shift, 12 hour work days
  • Camp based accommodation provided for non-local candidates
  • Flights provided from approved locations
  • Benefits provided by CLAC
