Job Description

Box Bus has immediate openings for full-time and part-time permanent independent contractor drivers.This position requires an independent contractor with their own Cargo van (Transit F-250 / Sprinter 2500 sized) or Cube Van (2-3 ton)Deliveries are within Whistler. A typical km/day is 300-350. 8:30 am start time, 9-11 hour days. Work is available Monday through Friday every week with weekend work available during peak season. But you choose what days you work, from 1 to 6 days per week.

  • The commission is 80% of the Gross Rate. A typical day is 80-100 stops ~$500-$650/day.
  • That works out to $50-$55 per hour typically.
  • During the current Peak season, you can take even larger loads if you can handle it.
  • Essential worker position, so youll have work even if another lockdown occurs.
  • If you qualify for this job we also have almost identical work with other major companies, so we can keep you busy with similar or local work.
Requirements:
  • Safety Vest (Class 2), and Hard-toes Shoes/boots. (100% Mandatory at Warehouse, not on road)
  • Must provide a vehicle Cargo Van or Cube Van (Sprinter 2500/Transit F250 and larger)
  • Winter / All-Weather Tires (Not All-Season)
  • Dolly/Handcart
  • Can safely get in and out of your van multiple times a day.
  • Have a smartphone with a data plan.
  • 25+ years of age (For Insurance)
  • Have a valid BC Class 5 drivers license (No N)
  • Relatively clean driver abstract.
  • No DUI/DWI or suspensions within five previous years.
  • Able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Excellent English communication skills
Preferred:
  • 1+ year of courier experience in the GVA.
  • Customer service background.
  • A can-do attitude.
  • Time management skills.
