Job Description

With 60 years of experience and trusted tools, Kindersley gets the job done right every time.Kindersley Transport Ltd., a member of Siemens Transportation Group Inc., requires a Dock Supervisor for their Vancouver, BC location, who will be responsible and accountable for the safe and efficient loading and unloading of trailers.This position is Monday to Friday, 11:00pm - 7:30amResponsibilities

  • Provide leadership to a team of Dockworkers to ensure branch operational and safety goals are met
  • Ensure proper load temperatures are used on protected freight
  • Ensure the proper loading and unloading of freight
  • Monitor and maintain all schedules (departure time, arrival time, loading schedules, etc.)
  • Recruit, orientate, train, and supervise dockworkers
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years experience in LTL freight transportation
  • Experience in cross dock operations
  • Good computer skills
  • Knowledge and experience in handling various kinds of freight
  • Supervisory skills
  • Management and decision-making skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
