Rival TechnologiesRival Technologies is looking for a VP, Product Management to lead Product Management in our rapidly growing organization. You’ll bring experience leading enterprise grade software delivery.   • You are comfortable working with engineering, design, and customer success leadership to prioritize broadly and you understand technical complexities of our product areas.
  • You use data to set goals, create dashboards to monitor product health, review analyses from across the company. You can construct a narrative for using data in order to drive the decision-making process.
  • You can effectively work with stakeholders across the organization. You have experience working closely with engineering, design, business, and marketing partners.
  • You know how to work with all different types of personalities and can navigate tough conversations.
  • You are curious, optimistic and a skilled problem-solver. You embrace the unknown and can adapt to shifts in priorities. You look outside your day to day to ensure you keep learning and growing.
  • You seek to be an expert on all things related to market research and building a platform that delights our customers.

What Youll Do:
  • Product lifecycle management from concept to launch of the product(s) across all products/product lines.
  • Lead, define, represent, and communicate product strategy to all stakeholders. Develop budgets, forecasts, and metrics.
  • Lead, manage and mentor a team of product managers.
  • Own the product roadmap and communicate with C-level staff, board members, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor and manage strategic marketing plans for each product or product lines.
  • Define pricing and competitive positioning for each product.
  • Become the key evangelist of our product and participate in press activities, conferences, discussions with thought leaders and market analysts.
  • Manage cross-team dynamics to ensure the entire team is successful, proactively instituting process improvements across your team, e.g., review and provide feedback on roadmaps, strategic plans and feature specs
  • Plan the structure of your team, managing headcount, succession planning, external hires and internal transfers
  • Motivate your team through a variety of strategies to ensure they are engaged and connected to the larger company mission
  • Manage the performance of your team of product managers, including providing regular feedback, holding recurring 1:1’s, writing performance reviews, determining compensation, making promotion decisions, leveling up the skill set of your PMs, helping PMs set career goals, coaching through difficult situations, providing honest critical feedback.
  • Stay up to date on product development across the company, identifying dependencies, potential impact to your team, and opportunities for to drive larger impact.
What Youll Have:
  • Bachelors degree, preferably in a technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a product leader.
  • Strategic & creative thinking with the ability to craft go-to-market strategies and campaigns in collaboration with marketing.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of operational issues with (portfolio management, risk management, etc.)
  • A customer-centric mindset with the capability of translating that into the product development process.
  • Successfully implemented data-driven processes to turn a vision into an actionable roadmap.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and mentoring the research, design, and development team.
  • Able to distill product roadmaps into digestible and relevant presentations to key customers and partners.
  • Flexible verbal and oral communication skills.
Bonus Points If You Have:
  • Background as a software developer, business analyst, or software architect.
  • Experience within the market research industry.
  • Understanding of security best practices, working in a SOC2 and HIPAA environment.
  • Experience with the Atlassian suite of productivity tools.
  • Experience documenting REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Figma.
  • Familiarity with the AWS technology stack.
