This role will oversee the planning, design, and execution of water and wastewater projects. This leadership role will be responsible for managing people, portfolio growth, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering projects on time and within budget.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage water and wastewater infrastructure projects from initiation through completion.
  • Oversee planning, design, permitting, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Act as primary client liaison; maintain strong relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with internal teams of various disciplines and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and contractors.
  • Prepare project budgets, schedules, scopes of work, and technical reports.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and standards.
  • Mentor junior and intermediate team members; support professional development within the team.
  • Identify risks, implement mitigation plans, and manage project issues proactively.
  • Drive sustainability and resilience considerations in water infrastructure planning and design.
  • Manage all aspects associated with client relationship management and project service delivery. Ultimately responsible for ensuring the civil and process drawings and specifications meet established project criteria, applicable standards, and schedule objectives.
  • Administer and oversee the project budgets and preparation of 3-month forecasting of work projections.
  • Participate in business development activities including new business opportunities, prospect contact identification, and solicitation of new clients.
  • Attendance at industry events to promote services provided by the company and to attract new clients.
  • Any other duties, as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license and 10+ years of experience in water and wastewater engineering, with at least 3 years in a project management or leadership role.
  • Proven experience with pump stations, water treatment facilities, wastewater facilities, pipelines, and related process mechanical infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of permitting processes, environmental regulations (e.g., EPA, NPDES), and industry standards (e.g., AWWA, WEF).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and engineering software.
  • Ability to work simultaneously on several different projects and with multiple designers.
  • Calm under pressure, especially when guiding a team member.
  • Exemplary customer service skills, including business development and service delivery.
  • Valid Driver’s License and a willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel to job sites/clients.
CompensationThe salary range for this position is $125,000 to $150,000, with share ownership opportunity after successful completion of 6 months’ probationary period.Benefitsamp; Rewards:
