Bureau Veritas is looking for a Sample Receiver.Reporting to the Warehouse & Logistics Manager, the Sample Receiver is primarily responsible for receiving incoming shipments of pulps/ Rejects and or any consumables arriving at prep facility. The Sample Receiver also be responsible for labelling, packaging and shipping of outgoing sub contract work created by Client Services/ Sample prep.As a Sample Receiver, your responsibilities are:Assist in Receiving sample pulps / Rejects at Prep facility in conjunction with Login Supervisor and staffIn conjunction with login Supervisor, assist in organizing area when required,Ship sub contract work out for analysis in a timely manner, maintain accurate and up to date shipping recordsReceive and distribute small supplies from warehouseAssist Warehouse staff in keeping the loading bay clear of completed pulps and reject pallets and to assist loading and unloading truck when requiredEnsuring dangerous goods are received, stored, and shipped in accordance with TDG regulationsComply with Occupational Health and Safety legislation, BV Group Policies and Procedures, Upstream Minerals Management System Policies and Procedures and ISO standards applicable to the Warehouse Shipping AssociateAct in a safe and professional manner and wear appropriate attire including the required personal protective equipment (PPE)All other duties as assigned from time to timeYou are an ideal Sample Receiver, if you have:Minimum completion of high school educationPrevious experience working in a warehouse environment preferredCertifications in forklift training and hazardous goods handling/transportation an asset - training will be providedMust have valid Class 5 driver’s license, or equivalentExcellent communication skills - verbal and writtenEffective time management and organization skillsStrong interpersonal skillsAble to work independently and as a part of a teamLocation: Bay 35 403 E Kent Avenue, Vancouver, BC V5X AV5Apply now and join our talented community of scientists and experts!
