DEPARTMENT:

POSITION FUNCTION:
  • Accountability
    • Be familiar with MOSAIC’s vision, mission, values, strategic plan, and integrated client service delivery approach, program and/or project proposals and contracts, and in your role in achieving the goals and contractual outcomes of the department
    • Be familiar with WorkBC policies, procedures, and systems
  • Operations
    • Planning and Development
      • Identify and assess the knowledge and skill needs and gaps of WorkBC staff in relation to WorkBC policies, procedures and systems.
      • Develop a structured training approach and plan to address identified needs and gaps of all MOSAIC and subcontracted WorkBC staff with a focus on onboarding and training for staff in their first 6 to 12 months
      • Identify, develop and/or secure the content and resources required to implement the training plan, including obtaining quotes from external contractors
    • Delivery
      • Lead and support the implementation of onboarding and training sessions for MOSAIC and subcontracted WorkBC staff.
      • Provide direction and support to contractors and other personnel involved in the delivery of onboarding and training sessions as required
      • As needed, provide additional support to new WorkBC staff during their onboarding stage
    • Monitoring and Evaluation
      • Evaluate the effectiveness of the onboarding and training provided to WorkBC staff on a regular basis (every 3 to 6 months)
      • Research and identify opportunities for improvement and update planning and delivery as appropriate
      • Identify and incorporate any key updates to WorkBC policies and requirements into the training content and plan
    • Community/Stakeholder Relations
      • Participate in partnership, departmental, all-staff, and relevant community meetings, in- service training, and other training
    • Other Duties as assigned by the senior WorkBC manager specific to the position
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Knowledge:
    • Proficiency in Office365 (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe, Zoom.
    • Familiarity with the employment and career development sector, and with WorkBC
  • Education/Certifications:
    • Post-secondary degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience,
    • Technical training certificate an asset
  • Skills/Abilities:
    • Able to work independently and within a team
    • Communication and presentation skills (written, in-person and recorded)
    • Detail-oriented
    • Organized and able to set priorities
    • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
    • Project management skills
  • Experience:
    • Experience as a trainer in a relevant sector; experience with WorkBC is an asset. Experience working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, and experience working in a non-profit, community-based organization; experience with not-for-profit or government operations is an asset.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Sitting, standing, bending, and ability to lift 10 kg
  • Other:
    • Current, satisfactory Criminal Record Check
    • Ability to travel to multiple locations across Metro Vancouver
HOURS:35 hours/week. The successful candidate may be permitted to work a hybrid work model (combination of in-office and remote work).STARTING SALARY:Annual salary commensurate with the level of experience and qualifications.STARTING SALARY & BENEFITS:A competitive benefits package is provided with contracts of at least 1 year in length and which offer a minimum of 17.5 hours of work per week.DEADLINE:Until position is filled.We thank all applicants for their interest.
