Job Description

We are looking for a talented, hard-working video editor for our fast-paced online environment for the Vancouver Film School Youtube Channel. This is an internship role with potential to turn into a full time offer.If you have a passion for video editing and enjoy being surrounded with trending online multi-media content, then this is the job for you. This position requires to be creative with your edits. You will:

  • Research, navigate and organize large amounts of media to effectively manage a project
  • Meet with stakeholders to establish the desired feel and look for the video to be created while adhering to brand guidelines
  • Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the videos creation
  • Improve video and sound quality using various video software
  • Participate in ideation and storyboarding sessions to effectively convey content
  • Provide editorial feedback that relates to production
  • Create illustrations, screenshots, images, and animations to improve support materials
  • Design and produce video effects such as animated titles, transitions, and motion graphics
Requirements
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, etc.)
  • working knowledge of graphic design, creation, and implementation, both with and without templates
  • Video production, video editing, and production of trailers, hype videos, promotional and marketing videos, etc.
  • Strong skills in color correction and sound mixing
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate
  • The ability to perform under deadline in a calm, efficient, and professional manner
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Internship / Co-opContract length: 6-12 monthsPart-time hours: 40 per weekSalary: $20.00 per hourBenefits:
