Job Description

Our range of specialized services has made our reputation in Canada.EBC Inc. is seeking Field Engineer for Ladore seismic upgrade project located in Campbell River, BC. The candidate will report directly to the Construction Manager and will be responsible for ensuring that construction plans meet the guidelines and specifications outlined in the contract.As a Field Engineer at EBC you will:

  • Read technical and administrative project specifications.
  • Inspect work daily to ensure that it meets the specified standards.
  • Inform Construction Manager of project development and discuss methods planned and the Superintendent.
  • Order critical material with suppliers in collaboration with the Superintendent and the Construction Manager.
  • Perform quantity tracking and cost coding for purposes of productivity analysis and accurate job cost forecasting.
  • Prepare daily reports as related to the crew, progress, and issues.
  • Provide document control for correspondence, submittals, RFI’s, NCR, etc.
  • Assist in the preparation of final records for the project, including as-builts.
  • Organize and participate in various meetings.
  • Establish and keep necessary communications between suppliers, sub-contractors, professionals, and client.
  • Assist in carrying out a variety of field duties at the job site related to the project.
  • The candidate must be willing and able to travel as required.
Requirements
  • Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
  • Related job experience of 8 - 10 years in construction field engineering on Infrastructure projects.
  • Advanced skills in written and oral English language.
  • Advanced skills in communication and problem solving.
  • Initiative and leadership.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, and Bluebeam
