School District No. 91 (Nechako Lakes)EXTERNAL Job Posting No. 22/23-082Aboriginal Education Advocate – Elementary(Vanderhoof)Applications will be accepted for the following position:UNTIL FILLEDLocation: Mapes Elementary SchoolPosition: Aboriginal Education Worker - ElementaryHours of Work: 10 hours per weekRate of Pay: $24.81 per hour as per the current Collective AgreementDuties to Commence: As soon as possibleThis position is included in the Human Rights Hiring Exemption and is limitedto applicants of Aboriginal Ancestry. Proof of ancestry will be required as perthe BC Human Rights Exemption document.Qualifications: Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate) Two years in studies related to working with Aboriginal families and children orequivalent. Studies must include an Indigenous education component. Employee will be designated as Unqualified if the educational requirements ofthis position are not met and will have two years from the date of hire to startprogramming B.C.
