Job Description

Job descriptionBird Nason Contracting Group is currently seeking applications for experienced Equipment Operators for a project near Vanderhoof B.C. with an anticipated start date of April 2023.Anticipated Start Date: April 2023Project: Blackwater Gold - Construction of a gold mine crushing circuit and processing circuitLocation: Near Vanderhoof, BCSchedule: 14 days on, 7 days off, 10 hour per dayWage: $40.25 - $44.87 per hour per hour as per Collective AgreementBenefits and RRSP Provided as per Collective AgreementCamp ProvidedTravel Available if ApplicableThe successful candidate should possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Responsible for the safe operation of equipment following manufactures and industry standards;
  • Excavation up to 4m in depth, access/egress into excavations, site walkway maintenance, detail excavation in preparation for concrete formwork
  • Final grade for walkways and base preparation
  • Plan and execute operation activities to avoid schedule delays
  • Operate Equipment in tight work areas and in proximity of workers, underground utilities, overhead power lines
  • Maintaining, cleaning, and fueling equipment.
Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience operating equipment – Excavator, Skid Steer & Rock Truck
  • CSTS-09 or CSTS 20
  • WHMIS 2015
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions
