The Manager provides leadership in the planning, delivery andevaluation of programs that are consistent with the philosophy, goals and objectives of Northern Health andOmineca Health Services.QualificationsEducation and Experience

  • Bachelor’ degree in a relevant field plus five (5) to seven (7) years experience in a leadership position
responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of operational and strategic plans;
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of the operations of Residential Complex Care, Home Care Nursing, Home Support, Long
Term Care Case Management, Independent Living, special care services, activity programs and adult dayservices, including an understanding of the interrelationships between the various professional/nonprofessionalstaff within the programs.
  • Knowledge of the operations of Preventative Health, Mental Health & Addiction, Rural Acute Care and
Health Centres.
  • Knowledge of local and regional community health issues.
  • Ability to manage human, financial and material resources.
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of the
organization.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Ability to balance multiple activities and projects concurrently.
