• Must be able to read and write in English
• 1 - 3 years of experience in similar role
• Ability to work independently and draw from experience with minimal supervision
• Ability to problem solve and follow standardized practices and procedures
• Mechanical aptitude

Essential Functions:

• Service of building minor maintenance and cleaning:
  • Office furniture
  • Washrooms
  • Kitchens
  • Leak management and resolution
• Completion of work orders as per defined priority
• Ensure records are kept
• Responsible to maintain good housekeeping on work area and machine parts
• Maintain clean environment in and outside the plant
• Run floor cleaning equipment inside the plant
• Pit cleaning
• Shutdown and slowdown activities

• Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards and legislation including Environmental Legislation, O. Reg 851 for Industrial Establishments, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (with emphasis on Section 28, (1) (a)-(d), (2) (a)-(c))
• Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook

Work Environment:

• 80% plant floor (PPE required) 20% Office environment

  • Oversee 2 buildings, 250,000 Sq feet

Physical Demands:

• Job requires prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing
• Must be able to lift up to 35lbs.
• Must be able to work with push pull forces of up to 50lbs. or less

Health and Safety:

• Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company and plant rules, policies and procedures
• Must use or wear Personal Protective Equipment and certain clothing as required by the Company
