Overview:$24.50 / hourCandidates must be a minimum age of 18 years old. Joining our Canada’s Wonderland team means you’ll help create and maintain a flawless landscaping environment for our guests. You’ll also…

  • Supervise, motivate and appraise staff.
  • Identify, plan and organize the completion of daily tasks.
  • Cultivate, prune, edge, mulch, fertilize, irrigate and plant assorted collections of woody and herbaceous plant material displays (trees, shrubs, annuals and perennials).
  • Recognize plant disease/insect problems and implement appropriate control measures when required as part of an Integrated Pest Management program.
  • Assist with landscape maintenance (turf, arboriculture and construction).

Qualifications:
  • You!
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a landscape environment.
  • Familiarity with the Ontario Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and the requirements for industrial establishments.
  • A diploma/certificate in horticulture or related field (an asset).
  • A certificate of qualification- Horticultural Technician and/or Canadian Certified Horticultural Technician (CNLA) – Landscape Maintenance (preferred).
  • A Ministry of Environment Land Exterminator license in one of Landscape, Industrial Vegetation or Forestry (an asset).
  • Plant identification skills and knowledge of cultural practices related to maintenance of herbaceous and woody plants (an asset).
  • An ability to drive a small stake truck and experience in the safe use of small power equipment.
  • Individuals who can provide their own CSA approved safety footwear.
  • A valid Ontario Driver’s License (class G2/G).
  • Availability to work Monday-Friday 6 am-2:30 pm; weekends on shift rotation from 6am until 11am.
