Provide continuous support to all aspects of the business operations and be an expert in lean methodologiesRequired Qualifications:
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent stamping plant work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of stamping plant floor experience
  • Understanding of automotive OEMs and Tier-1/2 stamping business
  • Lean manufacturing experience (Quick Die Change, SPM improvement, Problem Solving, Plant Layouts, Material flow, 5S, Lineside boards) with capability to lead a lean transformation
  • Project management experience
  • Strong computer skills, Organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to teach or train others
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and teach capacity planning at plants
  • Consolidate and report divisional capacity. Draw conclusions from reported data. Escalate problems to management.
  • Manage multi-plant die movement or launch projects through representatives at each site
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, training, and development to Press Shop Kaizen Leader representatives
  • Track performance KPIs and report on progress of projects
Employee Relations
  • Communicate effectively with employees and management staff
  • Perform compulsory overtime as necessary and in accordance with legislative requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor
  • Comply, ensure and enforce Rules of Conduct (Sign off agreement) in your hire package
  • Provide and/or participate in training as required
  • Comply, ensure and enforce all company rules, regulations and policies as stated in the Employee Handbook
  • Comply, ensure and enforce the Employee Standards Act, 2000
Physical Demands
  • Ability to work on computer for long periods of time
  • Ability to be present on the production floor daily
Health and Safety Responsibilities
  • Must work in accordance with H amp;S regulations, Company and plant rules, policies and procedures
  • Must use or wear PPE and certain clothing as required by the Company
