Job Description

Bear Mountain Golf and Tennis is seeking energetic, motivated individuals to join our fast growing food and beverage team to work within a resort environment that includes an outdoor pool setting.ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITIES:We are recruiting for a full time 1st cook. You will prepare and cook meals according to the poolside and on course menus, including but not limited to BBQ items, sandwiches and baked goods. You will estimate weekly needs of food and supplies and order accordingly and will ensure that all food is received and stored according to company standards. You will be responsible for ensuring that standard food safety practices are followed, and that all cleaning schedules are adhered to such that all areas are clean, safe and sanitary at all times.Qualifications:

  • Experience working as a cook, and following recipes and cleaning schedules
  • Food handlers permit as required by provincial law
  • Knowledge of food handling, preparation, cooking and service
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time and to lift heavy items
