Job DescriptionJob Title: Appliance Service Technician West Coast Appliance Gallery is looking for the right candidate to start a career in the Service Industry. This position is perfect for you if you are a hardworking, highly motivated individual who works well in a team environment. You are physically fit and able to lift more than 100 lbs on a regular basis. You put great pride in what you do, this shows by your customer focus, punctuality, dedication to the job, and your attention to detail.This is a full-time positionResponsibilities:
  • Follow work order descriptions to determine repairs or modifications to major appliances
  • Diagnose and repair major appliances by referring to schematic drawings, product manuals, and troubleshooting guides
  • Trace electrical circuits, follow diagrams, and use circuit testers and other electrical equipment for repair purposes
  • Ability to repair electric and gas appliances such as replacing worn and defective switches, bearings, transmissions, belts, gears, circuit boards, and wiring
  • Ability to reassemble units, including making minor adjustments and lubricating as needed once repairs are complete
  • Maintain stock inventory in service vehicle for on-site installation and repairs
  • Install appliances, including observing and testing following installation to ensure quality and completing any initial adjustments on mechanical equipment to guarantee proper functioning
  • Teach customers how to use their new appliances and provide information such as manuals and emergency service numbers
  • Communicate quickly and professionally with supervisors to receive assignments and resolve equipment repairs
  • Complete appropriate service tickets and paperwork
  • Receive payment for completed jobs
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of Appliance Service Technician experience required
  • Clean credit and criminal records (credit and criminal check is part of the employment process for this position)
  • Willingness to work with and train other related repair technicians
  • Motivated individual and must be a team player
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (for completing reports)
  • Valid driver’s licence with clean driving record
