Join us and help us make a difference.Compugen is seeking an Applications Solution Lead (M365/SharePoint), with expertise and experience in building modern technology solutions based on SaaS/COTS/low code, specifically the Microsoft solution set: M365, SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform, etc.This role will be remote with some travel required in Victoria, BC so candidates should be located within Metro Vancouver. This will be for an initial 1 year contractThe client has embarked on multi-year initiatives to improve its agility and IT cost effectiveness with cloud technologies. The first phase was focused on implementing Office 365; including the MS Office suite, Exchange, AD Integration and Teams. AS a continuation of the first phase the Corporation is looking to expand usage of the Microsoft solution set: M365, SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform, etc.The Applications Solution Lead (M365/SharePoint) will be instrumental in designing, reviewing and implementing IT solutions that deliver on the IT Services Division’s technology roadmaps. This involves participating as an M365/SharePoint Solution Technical expert on projects, leading and providing support to the project team and working collaboratively with all functional groups (PM, EA, Business Services, Release Management, QA, IT & Ops) throughout the lifecycle of the project to ensure alignment and champion execution.Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and take responsibility for planning activities leading to the design and development of SaaS/COTS/low code solutions, ensuring delivery teams have a clear vision and path
  • Be responsible for the coordination and facilitation of system change implementation and maintenance of system currency as new products/features are introduced and developed
  • Work directly with the project team (Enterprise Architects, Hybrid Infrastructure & Ops, Solution Engineers, Business Systems Analysts, Developers, etc.) to understand business requirements, evaluate technologies, recommend integration options, and plan for M365, SAA/COTS/low code solutions that meet the business needs
  • Coordinate and supervise work done by ITS branch staff, contractors and service providers to ensure that impacts to existing systems and infrastructure are completed on schedule to allow smooth implementation of the new solutions
  • Collaborate with Architects, IT Infrastructure & Ops, and Solutions Engineers to gain a deep understanding of the system integration, determine the high-level solution, and ensure architectural alignment on the technical solutions for implementation
  • Identify and document resource and skill gaps; both for project completion and for ongoing support of the implemented solutions
  • Identify technical considerations in project planning, including risk mitigation, task identification, estimating, task dependencies, and resource identification
  • Support complete, integrated SaaS/COTS/low code solutions spanning multiple technology areas (infrastructure, application, database, middleware, security, etc.) and providers (OCIO, Cloud/Azure, SaaS, etc.)
  • Manage dependencies across both systems and projects
  • Other related duties as required
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of five years combined demonstrated experience in designing and implementing M365, SharePoint, Teams, and Power Platform based solutions within a complex enterprise environment.
  • Minimum of four years demonstrated experience in designing, integrating, and building SaaS/COTS based business technology solutions and systems through configuration rather than customization and a low code/no code approach in a complex enterprise environment with multiple functional departments and stakeholders.
  • Minimum of three years demonstrated technical leadership experience in leading teams in a complex enterprise environment with multiple functional departments and stakeholders.
  • Minimum of three years demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and supporting M365 solutions.
  • Minimum of three years demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and supporting SharePoint solutions. Includes:
  • Integration with Teams
  • Integration with third party applications
  • Minimum of three years demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and supporting Teams solutions. Includes:
  • Integration with SharePoint
  • Integration with third party applications
  • Minimum of three years demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and supporting Power Platform solutions. Includes:
  • Low code solutions
  • Third party power platform solutions
  • Demonstrated expertise in evaluating, selecting and implementing external applications from the Microsoft Store or externally, SaaS applications that integrate with SharePoint, Teams or other M365 products.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a large and complex team that includes technical SMEs, project management, architects, information management, external vendors, etc.
  • Solid knowledge of all aspects of application development System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and modern Software Engineering practices.
