Job Description

JOB TITLE: Camp CoordinatorLOCATION: City Centre Park located at 1089 Langford Parkway, Victoria BC.DEPARTMENT: Customer ServiceREPORTS TO: Manager of Customer ServicePOSITION TYPE: Full-time Temporary, June 30 to September 3, 2021. Work schedule is Monday-Friday days.GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTIONUnder the direct supervision of the Manager of Customer Service, the Camp Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of various camps for children/youth. This will include leadership, guidance and direction of Summer Camp Leaders to operate the program. The camps run Monday-Friday. The Employee is expected to be a team player, provide positive leadership, and liaise between facility staff and the community.TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, develop, administer, operate, schedule, and provide direct leadership to the Summer Camps for children 5-15 years old.
  • Responsible for the delivery of safe, healthy and enjoyable camps for children of all ages.
  • Lead and plan designated camp activities.
  • Follow all policies, procedures, and standards of the City Centre Park.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS
  • First Aid
  • Criminal Record Check
  • Completion of High School. University/College post-secondary school courses would be considered an asset.
  • Effective time management, organizational and leadership skills.
  • Experience working with children in a similar/related capacity.
  • Leadership abilities including role model behaviours as well as demonstrating sound judgment while creating a positive, enthusiastic & fun environment.
