Job Description

TwoByFour Construction is a small, family-owned construction company based out of Victoria. We specialize in construction projects of all sizes, from small bathroom renovations to full home remodels and new construction. We are looking for a skilled Lead Carpenter with knowledge of the full range of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction projects, particularly with renovation work, framing, and interior finishing.We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in many aspects of residential construction and renovations, including interior finishing (doors, windows, trims, drywall, painting, flooring, tiling, etc.) and rough carpentry (framing, concrete work, roofing, etc.)
  • Able to read and interpret construction blueprints
  • Knowledgeable of local building codes and health and safety regulations
  • Able to perform quality work and take pride in their finished product
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to effectively manage projects with the assistance of their supervisor, and provide guidance and training to laborers and apprentices
  • A registered journeyperson carpenter and/or possesses equivalent experience
The successful candidate will possess a resolute desire to learn and grow, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic. They will carry a valid driver’s license and have a reliable means of transportation to and between work locations. The successful candidate will have the physical ability to stand for long periods of time, as well as independently lift up to 50 pounds. It is important that the candidate understand that this is a multi-disciplinary role where their day-to-day responsibilities will change as the project progresses. The ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment, will be essential for success in this role.Our primary selection criteria will be heavily weighted towards finding a candidate who is the right fit for our company and culture and who has the skills and experience necessary to take a leadership role within the company.Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePart-time hours: 37.5 per weekSalary: $35.00-$45.00 per hourBenefits:
