Keep reading to find out if this role is meant for you!What youll be doing...The Change Management and Communications Advisor role is a key player in leading change and will act as a conduit between The Victoria Transit team and the many BC Transit Corporate Project teams to ensure we are ready to execute on initiatives that impact our 770 people and 300 buses. Some of these projects include the transition to low carbon fleet, electronic fare collection, and a new Transit Center.You will collaborate with cross-functional teams at BC Transit to deliver change management programs including stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and impact analysis to ensure corporate initiatives are rolled out successfully across the maintenance services department. Your change management plans will make complex change easy for our people.The change management plans you bring to the table will guide the Leadership Team to achieve operational success and drive adoption for end-users. You will be on the people-side of change, developing employee engagement channels such as newsletters and video messages and helping to create content for employee town hall style discussions.To review the full job description and accountabilities for this role, please click here.What youll bring to the table...We value lifelong learners and have found the following combination of education & experience allows people to be successful in this role, though an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered:

  • Post-secondary bachelor’s degree
  • The ideal candidate would have at least 5 years’ experience applying change management principles, methodologies, and tools for implementing change programs
  • Experience developing internal communication strategies
  • Experience developing readiness programs, training or stakeholder engagement
  • A highly organized, energetic, and creative change professional
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and can be flexible in their approach
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with outstanding attention to detail
  • Amazing communication. Ability to simplify messaging, and incorporate storytelling
  • Preference will be given to individuals with the following additional experience and expertise:
    • Prosci Change Management certification or designation (or working towards)
    • Change Management Professional™ (CCMP™) certification
    • Equivalent change certifications

  • Screening calls may take place on April 21st and 22nd, with interviews conducted from May 3rd to 6th
  • Please note that this position will be based out of our Langford Transit Center with hybrid work arrangement available
