Job Description

On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Change Management Consultant – Finance Transformation to join our Client #39;s team on a Contract basis. This role is Hybrid and the Client is based in Victoria, BC.Summary of the Role:The Change Management Consultant will support a strategic Budget Management Transformation initiative focused on enhancing financial literacy, formalizing budget roles, and improving forecasting across departments. The consultant will collaborate with Finance leadership, the Strategic Transformation Team, and department leads to implement change management strategies and training resources.Dutiesamp; Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive change management and communication strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support transformation objectives.
  • Design training materials and support delivery of education programs.
  • Monitor and report on change progress, risks, and issues.
  • Conduct post-implementation evaluations and recommend continuous improvement measures.
Core Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of change management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • Proven ability to manage change plans, risk assessments, communication planning, and training initiatives.
  • Experience in tracking and reporting progress and managing change-related issues.
  • Familiarity with cross-departmental collaboration in complex environments.
Desired Skillsamp; Experience:
  • Experience working in large, complex organizations.
  • Knowledge of public sector finance and financial systems.
  • Change management certification (e.g., Prosci).
  • Background supporting financial system implementations or upgrades.
  • Exposure to financial tools such as Oracle EPM, SAP BPC, Workday Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, Power BI, or Excel (Power Query, Pivot Tables).
Terms:This is a 6-month contract position at 25 hours per week. The successful candidate must reside in Victoria or the Lower Mainland and be able to attend monthly in-person meetings and other onsite requirements in either the Victoria or Burnaby office as needed.
