Overall, the Financial Services Branch is responsible for providing financial management services to the provincial office and for the provision of financial management support services and expertise to regional and divisional finance managers and staff.This position is responsible for reviewing and determining eligibility for the Child Disability Benefit. The incumbent uses computer system software to access large quantities of information on several databases; creates and processes information on these systems; and must have good attention to detail due to the potential loss of revenue to the Ministry as well as to parents/guardians of the children.The capital of British Columbia, Victoria is a beautiful city, with beautiful beaches and harbours, and a variety of provincial parks to explore.   • Secondary school graduation or equivalent (for example, GED).
  • 1 year of experience working in a computerized environment.
Preference may be given to applicants with experience with one or more of the following:
  • Experience with MIS-SWS computer systems.
  • Experience using Oracle AR and AP computer systems.
  • Experience in financial administration.
  • Experience applying government’s Core Policy & Procedures and/or MCFD financial processes.
