Job Description

Daytime cleaning position in Sayward Hill and Cordova Bay AreaCategory 1 Cleaning strives to provide an environment that is safe and supportive to work in while insisting on the highest standards of service to all our clients. Successful candidates will be held to a high standard when being part of our team and supported continuously to achieve that standard. We allow our staff to work independently to allow for life flexibility. Ongoing constructive criticism and feedback holds our staff accountable.Category 1 Cleaning is looking for a part-time daytime cleaner (6 hours shifts, 3 times a week) strata cleaning in the Sayward Hill and Cordova Bay area and has the possibility to add an additional 5 to 10 hours a week at a nearby strata as well. This position requires cleaning during the day starting at 9 am and finishing no later than 6 pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Equipment will be provided and will need to be transported to each location. Owning a reliable vehicle is ideal to transport equipment between job sites.Requirements & ExpectationsThe successful applicant will:

  • Provide a clean criminal record check.
  • Own a reliable vehicle to transport cleaning equipment
  • Legally be able to work in Canada
  • Show initiative, be presentable and courteous to all residents and other trades while on site.
  • Have a good command of the English language both written and verbal.
  • Required to complete all assigned tasks on time and consistently while being vigilant for opportunities to clean throughout the complex.
  • Expected to log in and out of site each visit via app
  • Communicate issues and/or needs to management in the interest of providing the service.
  • Maintain all equipment and supplies onsite appropriately
Training, Benefits and Compensation
  • Training and probation period of 90 days paid at $18.00 per hour
  • After successfully passing probation increase to $19.39 per hour
  • Pay period is every other Friday
  • Fuel allowance if applicable
  • Mileage between job sites will be reimbursed
  • All equipment and supplies provided
  • Medical and Health benefits after 6 months
  • Annual cost of living increases
  • Management Quality Control inspections for feedback are on going.
