We are also part of Heidelberg Cement Group, one of the world’s largest building materials companies.Lehigh Hanson Materials Limited is looking for a qualified Dispatcher for the Ocean Victoria BC operations. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position will focus on efficient and effective trucking dispatch. This role will also provide front line service and order taking as well as assisting batch plants and operations to increase productivity.What you’ll get to do:

  • Monitor and control dispatch and movement of trucks and drivers
  • Responsible for the efficient distribution of concrete and maximization of load sizes
  • Prioritize customers to provide superior service
  • Receive customer orders and schedule deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction and transportation efficiencies
  • Schedule trucks as required to meet customer orders while maintaining an efficient operation
  • Assist in implementing the companys value-added product strategy
  • Provide back up relief as required
Who we are looking for:
  • Post-Secondary education preferred: certification, diploma or degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated customer service experience, some sales experience preferred
  • Aggregates, ready mix concrete, and/or construction building materials sector experience would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of the Victoria BC & surrounding areas
  • Advanced communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Highly computer literate, proficient with MS Office, databases. Kronos experience an asset.
  • A strong team orientated personality who gets along well with people
  • Must be self-directed, able to pro-actively resolve issues before they escalate
  • Some overtime may be required, including the occasional Saturday
Work EnvironmentRole operates in an office and manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions.What we have to Offer
