More information can be found here.A great opportunity to take the next step in your careerThe Education Programs Division plays a central role in maintaining curriculum, classroom assessment, reporting and the ongoing assessment programs, as well as facilitating the transformation of BC’s K-12 education system to support student success. The Curriculum and Assessment Branch exemplifies the principles foundational to transformation (e.g., collaboration, creativity, innovation) in our work and in how we engage with others. The Division’s ongoing areas of responsibility include Curriculum, Assessment and Graduation.The Curriculum Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Curriculum and Classroom Assessment.The Curriculum and Assessment Branch holds the responsibility for the development of Provincial curriculum and assessments for grades K-12. The Curriculum and Assessment Coordinator plays a key role in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of curriculum and the development of assessment evaluation tools and guidelines.Curriculum: To propose, develop, and support new strategic directions for the design, construction and implementation of K-12 provincial curriculum, based on a thorough knowledge of current pedagogy, emerging technologies, government strategic directions, as well as jurisdictional and academic research. Coordinates, designs and manages the development and implementation of K-12 BC provincial curriculum for curriculum program areas and system-wide content standards, including curricular support material.
