HIRING IMMEDIATELYOpen interviews- bring in your resume this Thursday October 28th and Friday October 29th from 1-5pmEntrée Night Line Cook (Hot Side)The Strathcona Hotel, in beautiful Victoria British Columbia Canada is looking to hire a reliable, mature, and energetic individual to join our kitchen team.Our ideal candidate enjoys working with others and thrives inworking in a high paced, busy environment. You must be dependable,organized, and take pride in a job well done.Shifts range from: 3:00pm – 11:00pmhours are subject to change based on newest provincial health ordersDuties and Responsibilities

  • Presents him/herself professionally, e.g. clean provided uniform, well groomed
  • Maintains up to date knowledge of recipes, procedures and plating for all menu, special and promo items for which
he/she is responsible
  • Prepares: sauces, stews & pastas via pan work/char grilled steaks & other proteins/salads/various
other entree items to recipe or special order
  • Meets timing standards
  • Coordinates orders with others, assists coworkers as needed
  • Works cooperatively with front of house staff to respond to guest needs
  • Ensures his/her areas of responsibility are well stocked and guest ready
  • Maintains high standards of cleanliness, safety and food safety throughout the shift
  • As required: stock taking, cleaning, opening and closing tasks; and any other duties designated by the
management team or Kitchen Leader.We offer

REQUIREMENTS
  • Positive attitude and good communication skills
  • 3 years experience
  • Deep fryer and grill experience
  • Good knife skills
  • Valid food safe certificate
  • Ability to communicate with team and management in professional manner
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Comfortable standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
