Responsible for an operating budget of $21M with up to $10M inrevenue. The position provides strategic advice in relation to financialplanning, budgeting and forecasting, and management of the museum’sfinancial resources, including the development and management ofstrategies for museum’s capital investments. Oversees the financialreporting of the Royal BC Museum Modernization project, in collaborationwith development partners, with a project budget of approximately $660M;The incumbent is the key point of contact with the Board of Directors withregard to financial and funding arrangements, and reports the Royal BCMuseum’s financial performance and management issues to the Board ofDirectors, CEO and Executive, Treasury Board and to other stakeholders asrequired.Ideal candidates will be well balanced with an entrepreneurial approach yetable to perform well within the public sector environment.The ideal candidate is a Chartered Professional Accountant with anundergraduate degree in business, finance or commerce, supplementedwith at least 10 years’ experience in a financial leadership position. Youhave experience leading information technology systems and projects. Youmaintain knowledge of emerging IT issues and best practices. You are aresults-oriented individual with a strong track record of measurable successand have been accountable for the accurate and timely delivery of financialreports.
