Job Description

The Strathcona Hotel and Entertainment Center are looking for a dynamic, hands-on and experienced individual to join our existing team of managers.You must have the confidence to oversee the operation of several busy outlets, possess exceptional interpersonal skills, able to think on your feet, and juggle many projects at the same time making sound business decisions on the go. You have solid knowledge of Micros POS system and the ability to complete all administrative tasks associated with a managerial position.You are passionate about the industry and have a genuine interest in creating events/activities to help build the business. As a leader you are hands-on, respectful and a team player. Your staffs success is your success.Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to provide warm, friendly service
  • Ensure the restaurant and pubs are running smoothly
  • Support employees in all areas wherever help is needed
  • Deal with guest complaints
  • Ensure safe is accounted for at end of shift

  • Minimum 4 years experience in hospitality industry
  • Previous supervisory/manager experience
  • Experience with Micros POS
  • Passion for guest service
  • Knowledge of wine, cocktail and beer
  • Must be a team leader
  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
  • Must be a team oriented & motivated individual
  • Highly organized, results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
