Job Description

  • University degree, preferably in Translation and Interpreting, Linguistics, Journalism, English, or another related study program
  • At least 2 years experience in translating official documents for immigration and legal purposes
  • STIBC Membership (Associate or Certified Member)
  • Registered with ICBC
  • Valid omissions and errors insurance
  • Proficiency in English and at least one other language: Mandarin, Cantonese, Thai, Hindi, Arabic, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Filipino, Korean, Japanese, Turkish
  • Attention to detail
  • Punctual and fast with quick response time to inquiries
  • Ability to come to pick up and drop off orders in our office as needed
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to efficiently work in a team
  • Respectful and professional in all interactions with office personal and clients
  • Reliable, professional, hard working
  • Outstanding computer skills
  • Resident of Victoria, BC, and surrounding areas
