Job Description

Located by the beautiful seaside of Victoria, BC, the renowned Dashwood Manor Bed & Breakfast provides the perfect lodging for vacation holidays, business travel, and romantic getaways. This 1912 heritage home sits gracefully on the edge of Victoria’s scenic marine drive, Dallas Road, and is surrounded by incredible ocean and mountain views, mile long beaches, and the famous Beacon Hill Park.We are a passionate, and growing team, and are looking for energetic, enthusiastic professionals to join our team, and to become the Guest Service & Housekeeping Extraordinaire of Dashwood!As the Guest Service & Housekeeping Extraordinaire, you understand the importance of a warm welcoming check-in experience for our guests, and are committed to going above and beyond to make guests stay memorable. You will be empowered to deliver on our mission of Creating a memorable experience for our guests .This could be a fantastic opportunity for you to kickstart your career at a high-end B&B /Hotel, and to advance your career in the fast growing field of hospitality!Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide friendly and professional service to all guests
  • Physically able to complete tasks in a timely manner; good time management skills
  • Experience working independently and part of a team
  • Flexible with job duties and willing to take initiative
  • Managerial duties, including leading a team, and staff task delegations
  • Able to help clean some rooms, and organize working area to meet good standards
  • B&B operations management
  • Proactive with marketing, events, website updates, maintenance, etc
  • Front Desk: Answer the phone, emails, checking guests in and out, informing guests about activities in the area, and help prepare breakfast
Qualifications:
  • Previous hotel or B&B experience is preferred
  • Good communication skills, and fluent in English
  • Detail oriented and an experienced problem solver
  • Able to multi-task and handle multiple priorities
  • A team player with a positive attitude
  • Post-secondary education in a hospitality program is an asset
Pay and Benefits:
  • The starting pay rate for the position is $20 - $22 per hour, and is dependent on experience and performance.
