This position provides database analysis services to support custom and off-the-shelf technology solutions. Our databases are mostly SQL Server with a few Oracle and other database management systems.The database analyst is responsible for designing, developing and delivering database administration services to ministry clients. You will provide technical advise and participate in project teams as well as maintain standards for databases and services. You also get to research and evaluate new technologies and software releases and make recommendations.   • Diploma in Information Technology or Computer Science and 2 years of related experience;
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, adding up to a minimum of 4 years, may be considered.
  • 1 or more years’ experience within the past 5 years with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle database administration and development.
  • Experience providing technical advice to project teams engaged in design, development, and implementation of database technologies to support client applications.
  • Experience in modelling, process modelling, and/or business area analysis techniques.Preference may be given to applicants with any or all of the following:
  • Experience in both Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle database administration and development.
  • Experience in MySQL database administration and development.
  • Experience with release management, source control tools like Azure DevOps and Git, and scripting languages like PowerShell.
  • Experience in more than one of Windows, Linux, or Solaris Server operating systems.

  • Willingness to provide occasional support outside of core business hours during peak periods.
