This role is highly collaborative across the organization and requires someone with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESIT Support- Support the administration of the internal data and document management systems by maintaining security and permissions processes, including implementing security protocols to prevent potential threats.- Act as the primary liaison between TWC and our third-party IT services provider.- Administrate licensing and user controls for TWC systems and software.- Work with HR and our third-party IT provider to set up and deploy computers for incoming employees.- Maintain IT inventory database.- Create and administer SharePoint document libraries and directories.- Evaluate equipment and software for use.- Provide technical support of workstations and laptops and technical guidance for growing team of about 50 people.- Assist with user account administration, file rights management, and backup/recovery policies and procedures.- Assist in the development of appropriate technology solutions for information delivery and/or learning environments.- Create and update reference materials on processes and standard operating procedures and contribute to the development of relevant policies.- Provide recommendations for process improvement and works with colleagues and leaders to evaluate alternative solutions, which most effectively meet needs while maintaining acceptable business standards.- Conduct periodic IT audits to ensure corporate data is adequately protected, evaluate IT policies and procedures, and complete a comprehensive risk assessment.General- Support the development and roll-out of new TWC processes, procedures, and applications.- Provide general administrative support to other TWC teams.- Complete other adhoc projects or tasks as may be assigned.SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS- IT-related diploma or degree, plus three years of experience, ideally as a system or network administrator.- Advanced skills working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat and demonstrated experience working administratively with Microsoft Windows, Office 365 applications (including SharePoint, Teams, Azure, and Intune), and PC hardware.- Familiarity with the consulting industry.- Excellent time management and organizational skills.- Excellent communication and customer service skills.- Keen attention to details, with an ability to spot and resolve errors.- Respect of confidential employee and organization information and intellectual property.- Indigenous lived experience an asset.WORKING LOCATIONThis position is based in our head office in downtown Victoria, BC, just a few minutes slow walk from the Inner Harbour and some of the best coffee shops, restaurants, and shopping in Victoria.EMPLOYMENT EQUITYTWC values diversity and is an organization that is welcoming of all cultures, ages, genders, sexual orientations, and abilities.
