Job Description

IT Vendor Performance Analyst Co-opOpen to students registered in a recognized co-op program onlyBC Pension Corporation, Victoria BC

  • Duration: Summer 2022 (May to August, with possibility of a second Fall co-op term until December 2022)
  • Location: Victoria (our office is situated on the Selkirk Waterfront on the Gorge Inlet. Enjoy stunning views of downtown Victoria and the Olympic mountains and take advantage of the nearby Galloping Goose Regional Trail for walking and biking).
  • Salary: $1,590.33 bi-weekly (for students working towards a diploma or bachelors degree) or $1,869.36 (for students working towards a post-graduate degree)
  • Grant: As part of our inVESTED scholarship program, you may be eligible for reimbursement up to a maximum of $1,000 per four-month work term to cover the cost of co-op work term tuition fees.
  • Hybrid Work Model: Employees are supported to work part of their time from home and part of their time on campus to encourage flexibility, performance and connection.
  • Skills for Success Program: Engage with other co-op students in a monthly virtual event designed to build connection and community while developing skills to support your success.
  • Team: The Divisional Business Office is a small team with a big impact. We are a team dedicated to ensuring IT delivers services to meet client expectations, with a focus on continuous improvement. This centralized team ensures the smooth running of IT by ensuring we have the right processes in place, and the tools to support them.
The Job ResponsibilitiesThis role supports the Divisional Business Offices vision to define future state centralized IT dashboards, identify gaps, determine action plans, and setup reporting process to drive continuous improvements. Working within the Service Delivery & Governance area, this is a unique opportunity to learn all about the business of running an IT Shop and to get real world vendor management experience within an IT setting. You will gain exposure to and experience with top of market tools (Power BI & Teams) while supporting the re-design of the vendor management program.
  • Assist in the development and updating of IT Business Management processes such as Supplier Management, Contract Management, and Vendor Management
  • Assist in building a new Vendor Management program from the ground up
  • Gather requirements, information and conduct analysis
  • Review existing contracts and documentation to ensure compliance for both services offered and financial obligations
  • Integrate data within different platforms
  • Gather and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Day to day contractor spend and processing
  • Power BI and Microsoft Teams

  • Experience with contract lifecycles
  • Experience in Power BI and Microsoft Teams
  • IT Vendor management experience
  • Good understanding of day-to-day requirements of contract management
RequirementsThis opportunity is available to 3rd or 4th year Business students and graduate level students studying Business, Supply Chain, Law, or related fields.Knowledge and/or experience in the following areas would be an asset:
  • Experience in Excel, Power BI and Microsoft Teams
  • Interest in IT Vendor Management and best practice
  • Interest in business process management
  • Aptitude for understanding contractual language
  • Aptitude for gathering requirements
  • Being curious and asking questions
