Keep reading to find out if this role is meant for you!What youll be doing...BC Transit is growing and we are looking for someone who can help keep up with the pace. As one of our JD Edwards (JDE) experts, you are responsible for the lifecycle, support and performance of the Oracle JDE environment. You have primary responsibility to support the JDE application stack and ultimately fulfill the responsibilities of JDE CNC (Configurable Network Computing) roles. While you undoubtedly know the ins and outs of JDE, you are also well versed in WebLogic and Linux.In addition to the above, you will provide expertise on:

• Installing, configuring, maintaining, patching and the providing administration support of JDE and Oracle environments and applications;
• Troubleshooting and resolving support issues efficiently;
• Providing JD Edwards CNC support priorities;
• Managing pre-production and production systems; and
• Enabling future features.

Please see attached job description for further details on the position.What youll bring to the table...We love lifelong learners and have found the following mix of education, certifications and experience have led people to be successful in the past:

• Degree or diploma in Software Engineering or another IT related discipline from a recognized university or college; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Oracle database, middleware training or ITIL training would be an asset
• 3 years’ experience with JD Edwards core technology foundation in JDE 9.2
• 2-3 years’ experience with Oracle Fusion middleware including Oracle WebLogic and Oracle Web Tier
• 2-3 years’ experience with Oracle database administration including Oracle RMAN
