Company descriptionWelcome home to EscherLocation-rich Escher is perfectly centred between landmarks old and new and within walking distance of Victoria’s buzzing arts, culture and culinary scene.Job descriptionPosition: LIVE-IN Resident CaretakerReports To: Strata Council working with our property management company as requiredCompensation: Competitive salary plus medical/dental benefits, and reduced rentThis is a live-in position in a beautiful one-bedroom suite in the Escher building, located in the heart of downtown Victoria with access to great restaurants, entertainment, amenities and shopping.General Duties:

  • Be familiar with building Strata bylaws and report any breach of bylaws to the property manager
  • Perform basic cleaning and monitor contract cleaning services as required
  • Work with contractors to ensure equipment & system maintenance is performed & documented
  • Respond to emergencies and residents’ concerns
  • Maintain the standard of the common property, bulletin boards, and Council communications
  • Order, activate, deactivate, and maintain a log of fobs issued to suites and tradespersons
  • Update Enterphone directory as required and schedule moves in and out of the building
  • Maintain a key safe for the owner’s suite entry keys and update the caretaker manual as required
  • Maintain a list of all owners, residents, suite numbers, parking stalls, storage lockers, etc.
  • Update Resident Caretaker manual as required
  • Report and assist with investigations of criminal activity relating to the building common property.
Qualifications:If you are someone who enjoys working with people, is organized, energetic takes initiative pays attention to detail, communicates well and has a good command of the English language, this is the perfect job for you. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 3 years of residential or related experience and ready to start in January 2022 or sooner.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:
