Keep reading to find out if this role is meant for you!What youll be doing...The Manager, Warehouse Operations and Logistics is responsible for the management of all warehousing and distribution functions. We are looking for a dynamic leader for this position who is able to problem solve, make effective decisions and effectively lead a team of staff. You will be experienced in Logistics and Supply Chain and be able to develop the annual budget and ensure fiscal goals are achieved, develop methodologies and strategies to maximize efficiencies, as well as develop, track and monitor qualitative and quantitative KPIs that encompass end to end process of post purchase, materials storage and delivery and departmental risk management.This position will be located out of our Langford Transit center and will be expected to travel to Victoria Transit Center or other local sites as meetings require.Please note that this position is a 6 month temporary position beginning in October 2022.To view the full job description for this role please see the attached.What youll bring to the table...We value lifelong learners and have found the following combination of education and experience allows people to be successful in this role:

  • Direct work experience in a warehouse management function/supply chain management
  • Management or Supervisory experience within a unionized environment
  • Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse management, and transportation management
  • Direct knowledge of WHMIS and other safety systems
  • Experience with radio frequency ID systems (RFID), bar code systems
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems, as well as Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in managing third-party logistics providers
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse documentation, with good writing skills
  • Ability to interpret and act upon complex instructions
  • Solid project management skills are essential
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good financial and business awareness
