Join our Manufacturing and Leadership TeamBAUCO® Access Panel Solutions Inc is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to join our team. This position is full time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm.The opportunity and you: You hold the attributes of an engineer, with exceptional systems and design capabilities, and an excellent grasp of human behaviour and motivation techniques. Above all, you understand that people are at the heart of all exceptional production performance.The role is focused on leading the Manufacturing Department to continuously optimize manufacturing processes; managing Product Development projects and shaping market-leading innovation; and developing and monitoring superior Quality Control systems. You will apply your knowledge and experience to identify opportunities and implement changes to improve our products and processes and reduce costs. Your understanding of processes and assembly methods, tooling and production equipment, quality control standards, product design and materials and worker engagement will propel your results. The Manufacturing Manager will integrate and collaborate across company departments to achieve corporate goals and enhance the brand. Bauco delivers excellence in customer service, quality manufacturing, and the best possible access panel solution directly to job sites.Our manufacturing processes can be compared to those in the window manufacturing and architectural metals fields, utilizing aluminum extrusions, galvanized steel hardware, sheet goods and powder-coating systems.Accountabilities:

  • Analyze manufacturing processes to refine and implement improvements
  • Measure and monitor manufacturing activity. Analyze data and compile purposeful reports.
  • Coach, mentor, and supervise the manufacturing leads and the technical team to foster personal development, interaction, participation and engagement
  • Identify potential improvements in product design
  • Collaborate and drive product development projects with a design-for-manufacture and customer focus
  • Work with vendors to produce components from engineered designs
  • Provide technical support and supervision of problem-solving on the factory floor
  • Establish a suitable quality management system that results in the highest quality products.
  • Collaborate as a member of the Leadership team
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in engineering (manufacturing engineering, product design, industrial design), or an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Management or a related field with demonstrated technical experience in manufacturing. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience in manufacturing with a detailed knowledge of designing products, manufacturing processes and quality control processes.
  • A strong understanding of fixtures, jigs, and tooling in a pull-type manufacturing environment. Preference for good comprehension of tooling required for aluminium extrusion, steel stamping and injection molding
  • Experience in project management
  • Superior computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite. Fluency in engineering drawings and modelling using 3D CAD software
  • Proven understanding of lean manufacturing and DFM principles
  • Capable hands-on fabrication skills including machining, welding and sheet metal forming
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
