In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health), patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.Reporting to the Director or designate, the Analyst is accountable to advance and sustain regional MHSU Clinical Practice Standards including policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines in alignment with the Island Health Corporate Policy Framework. The analyst develops, implements and sustains infrastructure for regional MHSU Clinical Practice Standards such as standardized processes, document inventories, document templates and monitoring systems. The Analyst both leads and facilitates the development, validation and endorsement of standards through clinical governance structures n partnership with subject mater experts and corporate partners. The analyst works in partnership with the MHSU Quality Lead to advance quality priorities and support the function of MHSU quality governance structures including MHSU Quality Council.Travel may be a requirement of this position. Transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of the Vancouver Island Health Authority in accordance with the service assignment and may require the use of a personal vehicle.QUALIFICATIONS:Education, Training And ExperienceA level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Masters Degree in Public Policy/Administration, or a related field, and five (5) years of experience in public administration, planning, or program development in healthcare or social services.Experience with MHSU clinical service systems is considered an asset.Valid BC Drivers License.Skills And Abilities
