Position SummaryThe Network Administrator 4 is an experienced member of the IT Infrastructure team responsible for the configuration, management, monitoring, and issue resolution of various datacenter and office networks in Canada. This includes installation and configuration, troubleshooting, and design responsibilities in addition to direct interactions with our clients and customers as appropriate to develop solutions that meet the needs of our clients and corporate users.Key Accountabilities
  • Oversee the Enterprise Network Architecture environment consisting of: Core Network Arch, Routing/Switching Arch, WAN/MAN Arch, WAFS/WADS Arch, IOS/CFG Standardization, VPN/DMVPN, QoS, IP Telephony/, WiFi, Radius/802.1x, Global Load Balancing, Remote Access/VPN, Extranet / DMZ Arch, IPS/IDS/FW Application Intelligence, Video Conferencing.
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge of Maximus IT Infrastructure environment.
  • Ensure network and security is aligned to company standards.
  • Preparation and maintenance of documentation (i.e., Design documents, proposals, architecture, checklists).
  • Management and documentation of all network components and configurations.
  • Daily monitoring and alert response, performance tuning and improvements.
  • Maintain network security, both at the perimeter and internally.
  • Create and document appropriate firewall rules and ACLs in consultation with our security teams.
  • Acute and recurring issue investigation and resolution, root cause analysis of problems.
  • Log and performance trend analysis.
  • Participation in 24x7 On-Call rotation to support resolution of production issues.
Job RequirmentsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field plus 5 years related experience with large complex networks or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Certifications related to network administration, and/or desktop/user support, Linux and Microsoft Server preferred.Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Advanced troubleshooting ability with computer and networking equipment.
  • Ability to work with others in a fast-paced environment and the ability to learn new products and technologies quickly.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills at all levels, including team members, management, and external clients.
  • Extremely organized, capable of overseeing multiple projects and tasks with competing priorities.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to negotiate difficult situations and to build positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintains up to date knowledge of new and emerging network and cybersecurity technologies.
  • Demonstrates high level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of data
  • High level of self-motivation and initiative.
  • CCIE Routing Switching or Data Center certification.
  • Proficient in technical documentation.
  • Proficient in Visio or other Network Architectural drawing tools.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft O365 (Excel, Visio, Word, Power Point, Teams).
Technical Requirements for Recruitment
  • 5+ Years Cisco Nexus switches
  • 5+ Years ASA and NGFs
  • 3+ Years Cisco Wireless Controller
  • 3+ Years Cisco Routing: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPBGP
  • 3+ Years Cisco Firepower IPS, FMC 1000, FMCv
  • 3+ Years Meraki wireless and switching
  • 5+ Years Network monitoring/management tools
  • 5+ Years IPsec and Anyconnect VPN
  • SPLUNK or other SIEM solutions
  • Knowledge of SDWAN, Cloud and Cybersecurity would be an added advantage.
  • Wireshark
Other
  • Must be a Permanent Resident or Canadian citizen.
  • May require travel to MAXIMUS Data Center within Canada.
  • Must be available to work on-call and outside business hours.
  • May require some lifting (5 to 10 KG).
  • Must be able to fulfil requirements for Federal level security clearance.
